Description

Crispy hash-brown patties filled with fluffy scrambled eggs and zesty dill pickles, perfect for brunch or a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 16 dill pickle slices
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion, optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives or scallions, optional
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ranch Dip: Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill, parsley, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Form Hash-Brown Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until homogenous and slightly sticky.
  3. Fry Hash-Brown Patties: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Shape 1/4 cup of hash-brown mix into patties and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Cook Scrambled Eggs: Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet, add egg mixture, and gently scramble until just set and fluffy.
  5. Assemble Sliders: On a plate, layer a hash-brown patty, cheese slice, scrambled eggs, two pickle slices, optional red onion and chives, and top with another patty.
  6. Serve: Enjoy warm, alongside or drizzled with ranch dip. Add toppings as desired.

Notes

For added variety, try different cheese or additional toppings like bacon or bell peppers.
