Description

Delicious cookies that combine the creamy richness of peanut butter with the luscious taste of brownies, creating a delightful treat for all.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and light tan in color.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler and let cool slightly.
  6. Divide the dough into two portions. Leave one portion plain and mix cocoa powder and melted chocolate into the second.
  7. Drop tablespoons of each dough onto the baking sheet and swirl them together with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking. Can substitute peanut butter with other nut butters for a unique twist.
