Description

A delightful blend of soft, buttery goodness and sweet, juicy peaches, these biscuits are perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup diced fresh peaches
  • 1/4 cup peach preserves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar; whisk together.
  3. Add cubed butter and cut into flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in buttermilk until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Fold in peaches and peach preserves gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure butter is very cold for flaky layers. Consider adding vanilla extract or cinnamon for extra flavor. If peaches are out of season, frozen peaches can be used.
