Description

A quick and customizable meal option that’s perfect for family movie nights or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 4 whole-wheat or regular English muffins
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Sliced olives (optional)
  • Fresh tomatoes (optional)
  • Cooked chicken or turkey sausage (optional)
  • Pineapple chunks (optional)
  • Jalapeños or chili flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Drizzle of olive oil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the English muffins in half to create 6 to 8 individual pizza bases.
  3. Place cut-side up on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
  4. Toast in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. In a bowl, combine marinara or pizza sauce, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  6. Spread sauce on each muffin half, add mozzarella cheese generously, and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  7. Top with your desired toppings: pepperoni, veggies, mushrooms, or any favorite ingredients.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Top with fresh basil and drizzle of olive oil if desired. Slice for smaller bites or serve whole. Enjoy!
