Description

A delightful combination of creamy brie cheese and tangy cranberry sauce, perfect as a starter or snack for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Brie Cheese (8-ounce)
  • 2 cups Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (optional, such as thyme or rosemary)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in nuts and herbs if using.
  6. Place brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spoon the warm cranberry sauce over it.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the brie is soft and bubbly.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving warm with crackers or baguette slices.
