- 2 cups Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (optional, such as thyme or rosemary)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in nuts and herbs if using.
- Place brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spoon the warm cranberry sauce over it.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the brie is soft and bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving warm with crackers or baguette slices.
