Description

A delightful treat that combines creamy custard with a medley of seasonal fruits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Full-fat Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Custard Powder
  • 2 cups Chopped Seasonal Fruits
  • 1 pinch Cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on your countertop.
  2. In a saucepan, pour 2 cups of full-fat milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of custard powder with 2 tablespoons of cold milk to form a smooth paste.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the warm milk and stir until dissolved.
  5. Gradually add the custard paste to the warm milk while whisking continuously.
  6. Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in a pinch of cardamom powder.
  8. Transfer the custard to a bowl or individual cups and let it cool.
  9. Wash and chop seasonal fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  10. Assemble the dessert by layering fruits on top of the cooled custard or folding them in.
  11. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top before serving.
  12. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use organic whole milk and consider adding vanilla extract for extra warmth.
